#cold A shot from above the Arctic Circle - Alpine, Alaska. It was -46F for this photo. I had to keep my camera inside my jacket as it would freeze up. Hood off just long enough for a quick snap. This particular village along with a large portion of the North Slope the individual only gets to visit by invitation. The native villages are even more restrictive as non-natives are held in contempt and viewed as the source of the village destruction (primarily alcohol introduction). Dead Horse is as far as you can get without invitation. Once there, if your name is not on the log you go no further.
