Above me are multiple Anna's Hummingbirds ticking and warbling away. Most of them will depart for southern California in the coming days, especially when this tree -- one of their favorites -- is bare and they lose its camouflage cover. The tree's leaves are actually turning intense dark red, but putting it into #black_and_white just makes me happier right now, for reasons I can neither articulate nor explain to myself. #leaves #iphone #tree #in_my_backyard
